Description
The Mobile RF Designer is responsible for designing and optimizing mobile radio networks (2G/3G/4G/5G), both outdoor and indoor. This role involves creating new RF designs, enhancing existing coverage solutions, and ensuring technical feasibility and network quality.
The position requires strong knowledge in radio frequency systems, electronics, and RF design tools, along with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams (hardware, software, network engineering, and integration).
Responsibilities
- Design and develop new RF designs for mobile network deployments
- Continuously improve and optimize existing RF plans to enhance network performance and user experience
- Collaborate closely with hardware, software, and engineering teams to ensure successful implementation of designs
- Analyze results from field measurements (walk tests, drive tests) and make necessary adjustments to RF parameters
- Lead or coordinate multidisciplinary technical projects when required
- Provide technical documentation including design plans, coverage reports, and analysis summaries
- Participate in RF network evolution projects for complex environments (e.g. hospitals, malls, airports, train stations)
Profile
We are looking for a technically skilled and motivated individual with:
- A background in electronics, telecom, or RF engineering
- Experience (or strong interest) in RF design for mobile networks
- Familiarity with iBwave or similar design tools
- Ability to read and interpret walktest data
- Fluent English; French and/or Flemish are a plus
